Welcome to Traders Galaxy
Six tabletop games and a growing range of miniatures, all set in one 80s-flavoured universe of giant robots, street gangs, monsters and old gods. Designed in rural Australia and shipped worldwide. Here's how it all fits together, and where to begin.
Three steps
From curious to playing
You don't need to know anything about miniature games to start. Here's the whole journey.
Pick a game world
Giant robots, street gangs, fantasy warbands, arcade brawls, monsters or dogfights. Each one has its own page with how it plays.
Find your game02Grab a starter
Every game has one clear place to start: a starter set, a boxed game or a rulebook. We point you at it below each game.
See the games03Build, paint, play
The miniatures are resin kits: superglue, clippers and paint, then an evening or two of building. Short videos walk you through your first game.
Learn to playOne universe
It all happens in the Bot War world
Every game is set somewhere in the same universe, from Motor City's streets to the skies above the battlefield. The games come in two scales, and nothing you buy is locked into one game.
Bot WarThe flagship: armies of transforming robots on the ground
Broken SkiesThe same war, in the air (6–10mm aircraft)The Bot War factions take to the skies in Broken Skies, so your favourite side has an air force too.
ROTDThe Bot War conflict at human scale
Monsters Invaded My TownSolo and co-op pulp horror on the ROTD rules
BlackhollowFantasy warbands on the ROTD rules
Beat Em UpCo-op arcade brawling against a Games MasterLearn the ROTD rules once and play three games. Lots of the 28mm range comes with ROTD stat cards, so models cross over between them.

Every game, and where to start
What each one is like, how many people it suits, and the one thing to buy first.

Bot War
The giant robot game
Two armies of transforming machines fight over a ruined Earth. Giant robots, kaiju, humans and elementals, factions that all play differently, and rules you'll learn in one turn. It's the flagship, now in its third edition.

ROTD: Rise of the Democracy
Street war in Motor City
The Bot War conflict at human scale. After the Atlantican invasion, Motor City is a hotbed of crime, and cops, veterans, street gangs and C.O.I.L.S are all fighting over what's left of the Democracy. Learn the ROTD rules once and you can play two more games with them.

Blackhollow
Undead, orcs and old gods
Build a fantasy warband and journey to Blackhollow, a land ruled by Duke Alaric and the gigantic Spiderqueen. Vampires rise from the Burial Cairns, mummies stir in the desert tombs, and orc tribes raid the edges of the Duke's realm. It runs on the ROTD rules.

Beat Em Up
The arcade brawler, on your table
Inspired by the side-scrolling fighting games of the 80s and 90s. Up to four heroes team up and fight zone by zone through thugs, goons and bosses, while a Games Master runs the bad guys. The boxed game has everything: 19 miniatures, terrain, tiles, cards and dice.

Monsters Invaded My Town
Pulp horror, solo or co-op
Pulp horror for ROTD. Heroes Ben and Evie move around the board, running into ghosts, ghouls and monsters as they save innocent civilians from being eaten. No opponent needed: play it solo, or team up.

Broken Skies
Dogfights over the Bot War
Hex-based aerial combat in the Bot War universe. Atlantica is back, its Barracuda and Manta aircraft are screaming through the skies, and the Democracy's pilots are scrambling to meet them. Not sure yet? There's a free A3 demo board to try first.

The miniatures
More than the games
Traders Galaxy started as a miniatures range, and it's grown well beyond the six games: fantasy, sci-fi and historical figures, terrain, dice and more.
Two scales
10mm for Bot War’s giant robots (Broken Skies aircraft are 6–10mm). 28mm for ROTD, Beat Em Up, Monsters Invaded My Town, Blackhollow and the wider ranges.
Kits you build and paint
The miniatures are resin kits, supplied unpainted. You’ll want superglue, clippers and paint, and an evening or two before your first game. See the hobby range.
Cross over, or print your own
Lots of the range comes with ROTD stat cards, so models can join other games. Prefer to print? There are STL files on MyMiniFactory.

Who we are
Big robots, from a small town
Traders Galaxy started in 2017 as a part-time hobby project on a shoestring budget. It has come a long way since, but it is still a one-person company, designing games and miniatures out of a garage in rural Australia.
Traders Galaxy is committed to creating fun and exciting games, amazing miniatures, and an active and inclusive community of hobbyists and gamers. Happy gaming!

FAQ
Questions new players ask
Which game should I start with?
Whichever sounds most fun. Bot War is the flagship and its two-player starter set has everything two people need. For a small crew and street fights, start with ROTD; for co-op with friends, Beat Em Up; to play on your own, Monsters Invaded My Town.
Do the miniatures come painted?
No. They’re resin kits, supplied unpainted, so you’ll need superglue, clippers and paint. Budget an evening or two of building before your first game. The hobby range has bases, dice and terrain.
What scale are the miniatures?
Bot War is 10mm and Broken Skies aircraft are 6–10mm. ROTD, Beat Em Up, Monsters Invaded My Town, Blackhollow and the wider fantasy, sci-fi and historical ranges are 28mm.
Are the rulebooks digital?
Yes. The Bot War and ROTD rulebooks, the faction guides and the Galactic Transmission magazine are digital downloads. The Beat Em Up and Broken Skies boxed games include their rules.
Can I play on my own?
Yes. Monsters Invaded My Town adds solo and co-op rules to ROTD, so no opponent is needed. Beat Em Up is co-operative, with one player running the bad guys.
Will my models work in other games?
Often, yes. Games of the same scale share a universe, Bot War factions fly in Broken Skies, and lots of the 28mm range comes with ROTD stat cards so models can cross over.
Do you ship to my country?
We ship worldwide from Australia, and shipping is free on orders over $160 USD. See shipping info for the details.
Can I 3D print the miniatures?
Yes, a selection is available as STL files on MyMiniFactory.
